Students will learn reading of music and theory, technique, scales, arpeggios and chords for all genres of music. Studying presets, drawbars and pedal techniques will be paramount.
This lesson provides an understanding of an embouchure and their instrument including the mouthpiece, teaching a student how to keep the corners of their mouth firm so that air does not leak out. Students will also learn how to play their scales.
Instruction includes learning to play and handle the drum set, rudiments, paradiddles, learning to read music and band charts and learning to play various styles of music and beats.
Students will learn reading of music and theory, technique, scales, arpeggios, notes, and chords for all genres of music.
Lessons include how to care for, tune and hold the violin. Also, students will learn theoretical knowledge along with the mechanics of the violin.
During this lesson, students will learn the correct way of playing their instrument, embouchure control, hand and finger placement, breath control, sound projection, music reading techniques, and song and etude study.
Students will learn to read notes, rhythm, dynamics and music theory while getting the best sound from the instrument.
Students will learn the highly technical and structured style of dance that is the foundation for many other styles of dance. Currently, this is only offered to children ages 6-8 years old and 9-12 years old.
Students will lean to tap dance, using the tap shoes to create percussion while dancing using the heel and toe of the shoe. Currently, this is only offered to children ages 6-8 years old and 9-12 years old.
Students will learn to focus on their own interpretations of dance instead of structured steps, making shapes and lines with their body. Currently, this is only offered to children ages 6-8 years old and 9-12 years old.
As an introduction to dance and movement, this class will engage students’ imagination and curiosity in fun and exciting activities while exploring a variety of music and movement styles. This class is offered to children ages 3-5 years old.
